D. S. McColgan spent her childhood in a small village in Switzerland, the land of lakes, forests and mountains, that has always sparked her imagination. She has since grown up a little, studied, married and moved to another mystical land, namely that of the red dragon. There she lives with her beloved husband and daughter, and her unruly garden. Whatever she writes, be it German or English, funny or tragic, short stories or novels, one crucial ingredient is never missing: an element of the supernatural.
