About this ebook

I don’t fit into the world around me.

My brother and father are far more the billionaire type.

Art is what wakes me up. Expressing my soul through a paintbrush.

That and the beautiful woman that stole my heart years ago.

But she belongs to their world. An executive for the accounting firm my family runs.

And we live clear across the country from one another, but that doesn’t stop the way I feel.

Every time I see her, I want to change everything about myself until she takes notice.

Funnily enough, she doesn’t want me to change a damn thing.

She says that now, but when she finds out all that I desire of her, with her, she might not be so compliant.

Or maybe that’s what she’s been waiting on this whole time.

This is book 1 in a 3 book series. You will have to read book 2 and 3 to complete the story.

Matt Bryant has had a very rich upbringing. Every opportunity has been given, unfortunately the expectations of his family have always weighed on him. A creative at heart, he's avoided those expectations by playing the fool. He'd rather spend his days creating art that speaks to his soul. But he's twenty-eight and still without a career or a girlfriend. He knows it's time to start moving toward having something of his own. He just doesn't know that is yet. Being a billionaire doesn't mean anything if you don't live a little with it. He gets an offer from a gallery in Seattle to showcase his work but he's still feeling unsettled. His best friend Sophie wants him to head to Dubai with her to help him sort out what he wants. Taking a break at the first of the year would be great, but he wasn't leaving until his brother Damon was back together eith Bethany and all the ups and downs with Erica were settled. She wants him to work on her Creative team for his father's firm. Even though he knows it was the best offer he was gonna get, he just wasn't sure it was for him. Erica has wanted Matt from the first time she's met him. She's not fooled by his antics. She knows he plays docile and sweet in front of the world, but she knows underneath it all he was an alpha male that liked to dominate women in the bedroom. He was a protector, a strong man's man. So Why does he act like he was anything but that? She hopes by offering him a job that allows his creativity to work for him that he'll open up and give her what she's been wanting all these years...him! After a weekend of bliss Matt takes off without a word to Erica. She's feeling rejected and hurt. As after sharing her body with him, and supporting him with his gallery showing, the least she deserved was a goodbye. Had she really misjudged him and he's really not the guy for her? Or is there more to Matt's disappearance act? All she knows is she deserves better. While she's unsure of her next move, she knows she's ready to make one. And this one wouldn't include Matt Bryant. Ali Parker has completely outdone herself with this emotionally charged story. Matt is both complex and endearing. Erica is real and genuine as she experiences what we've all experienced with the hurt of a crush not meeting expectations. Loved this story and cannot wait for the next installment of this epic series! I was given an ARC for my honest review.

I fell in love with Matt in Ali’s Billionaire Alpha series with his witty sense of humor and defiance in following in his father and brother’s footsteps. With his creative mind, he wants to do more than work in corporate America. He wants to sell his paintings and let all those feelings come to life on his canvases. He has always said he was afraid of Erica (Chief Advertising Officer at M&B) because she is a man eater but what he really is afraid of is having nothing to offer her. Erica, on the other hand, knows that there is another side to Matt and she’s dying to get it to come out and play with her. While Matt is in Seattle meeting up with an art dealer, he ends up staying at Erica’s after an over book of his hotel. He really gets to see a side of her that he never noticed before and one thing leads to another. If anything, I just wanted to shake these two characters and tell them “just talk to each other….communicate, please!” Both have their own insecurities and instead of feeling each other out for where they want this new found relationship to go, Erica goes to work and Matt heads back to Dallas. Unfortunately, not saying anything to Erica just might cost him the woman he loves!

I loved this book. Matt just needs to make up his mind before he looses the best thing he has been looking for. Erica needs to remember that he is a man and men are not easy to read or understand. I can not wait to read the next book.

About the author

Ali Parker is a full-time contemporary romance writer who left a life in Corporate America to try out living a dream. She loves coffee, watching a great movie and handing out with her hubs. By hanging out, she means making out. Hanging out is for those little creepy elves at Christmas. No tight green stockings for her.
