This is not a fast moving story, but I did enjoy it. In my opinion Nicholas Sparks did a good job of describing two worlds. Tru from Africa and Hope from North Carolina. I felt Nicholas Sparks did a good job of bringing me into Africa, I could also feel Tru's love for Africa. I never doubt Nicholas Sparks ability to bring you into the world of North Carolina. For me this was not the tear jerker that many of Nicholas Sparks books. In one review I read the reader became annoyed with Hope and her being selfish. In my opinion yes Hope was selfish, but she knew what she wanted, I found this admirable. She did not compromise what she wanted, when I find most people do compromise what they want. Even with all she got she still missed out on other things. I found myself sad for her. Overall I liked Every Breath. I read Every Breath through the library.

I loved this book! I love most of his books though. Rarely does he give you a love story in which everyone lives happily ever after. These stories are so realistic. The characters are flawed. They make decisions that have consequences, sometimes good and sometimes bad. These characters were beautifully developed. I felt for them. I had a hard time putting this book down. I fully recommend it to anyone and everyone.
