This book is well written but unfortunately I didn’t connect with it how I'd hoped. The period it's set in and the main character didn't work for me. However, I loved the twist. If you enjoy a creepy historical fiction set during WWI in America, this is for you.

Its a good story with a neat twist but tge pacing is horrible. It dragged on in bits i could care less about.

About the author
Cat Winters's debut novel, In the Shadow of Blackbirds, was released to widespread critical acclaim.
