I couldn't put it down. Every page had me griped. Such a fun read. It has
everything...intensity, humor, love, heartbreak and takes you along for the
ride. I took a lot away from the way Tommy tells his story. He is
inspirational.

This book was so much fun to read. I enjoyed how the personal relationships were so engrained in his climbing experiences. Very different perspective from my initially shallow understanding of some the big climbing achievements in Tommy's life. I highly recommend this book, for climbers or not, definitely more fun for those interested in climbing though.

This is one of the greatest stories by a climber I've ever read. Tommy goes deep into his emotions and tells all that lead him to do the gnarliest first free ascent known to man, The Dawn Wall in Yosemite Valley! Well done, Tommy!

About the author
Tommy Caldwell grew up in Colorado. He has made dozens of notable ascents, and many consider him the best all-around rock climber in the world. In 2014 he was chosen as one of National Geographic’s Adventurers of the Year, and in 2015 the American Alpine Club awarded him Lifetime Honorary Membership, its highest honor. Caldwell, a frequent contributor to Alpinist, Climbing, and Rock and Ice magazines, lives in the town where he first learned to climb, Estes Park, Colorado, with his wife and their son and daughter.
