About this ebook

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes the first novel in the Crossfire series—a provocative masterstroke of abandon and obsession that redefined the meaning of desire, and became a global phenomenon.

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness...

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds...and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart...

I think fifty shades has ruined all books in this genre for me... I really can't make the connection to the fact this the main female, Eva, has issues in her past, so much so that she needs a therapist yet she is the one making most of the crude and aggressive advancements. I agree with others, some things in this book are almost completely lifted off the pages of fifty shades. This books is really second rate. I would read it before fifty shades. Thanks.

It was definetly very very similar to the 50 shades of grey books (which I absolulty love!) however I did not find the story line as strong and I actually found some parts a bit cheesy. I think it is missing the character building that EL James really mastered in 50 shades. However it was a good book to read if you've just finished the 50s trilogy and are going through withdrawals. I'm interested to see what sylvia does with the next book in the crossfire series, you never know it could turn into a really great series. Fingers crossed!

If you liked 50 Shades of Grey, this book will be a let down. It has a decent story line but abruptly stops. There is a beginning but not really a middle and end. I believe the Arthur rushed to cash in on 50's popularity and copied the main idea but could not keep up. This book is only a little over 200 pages and 50 shades is almost 600 pages. Not long enough to develop the characters or plot. Save your money.
