Kayla is a scavenger, driven to search the ruins of abandoned cities for artifacts in exchange for critical life-saving supplies. But, the rarest artifacts are found in the most dangerous ruins—those under control by the OmniLab traders.

Carl is one of those traders—and Kayla’s invaded his district. He’s determined to stop her and the best way to do that is to recruit her. The only problem?

Kayla hates traders.

When a powerful man intent on revenge starts hunting her, Kayla realizes the only way to save herself may be to accept Carl’s offer. But that would mean surrendering to OmniLab and giving up everything she knows.

Only everything isn’t quite what it seems.

Including OmniLab.

And Kayla’s in a lot of trouble.

Beneath the Fallen City is an exciting post-apocalyptic fantasy series with romantic elements and shocking twists. Join Kayla as she unearths the secrets of the past and discovers a hidden world no one thought was possible. This series features a love-triangle with two very different, swoon-worthy men who represent different aspects of this futuristic world. Perfect for fans of the Hunger Games, Divergent, or The Mortal Instruments--or anyone who likes a little spice when the world goes to hell. Enjoy!

This author clearly aspires to each and every single story she brings to a vitually live version that transports you to the every world(s) she brings to fiction as she pens it into believability making her words feel more like an autobiography of her own main characters lives, triumphs and losses and especially their passions and heatbreals even. Get lost in her writings as you will within seconds of starting a passage in any of her books lose yourself in the story as if you are right their in her descriptions of every smell, taste, touch and sights are playing out with you the reader able to glance inside every person the book has brought to life every moment thought or intent she mentions as if you yourself are experiencing every detail for yourself in real time. So your heart will pound or beat right along with which ever personally enters the moment you are reading about but clearly are so in tune with you will find yourself losing site that you are reading at all. I wish all books by every writer could convey this special talent as hers virtualy always seem of so far with each book ive been graced to read so far that she is the author of. Wether it be to let go of the world around you,or you have the desire to visit a world or worlds beyond our current realm,or to be so engrossed you know longer suffer greatly from the restricting bonds of illness or chronic pain as I do. Her books are a rare delight to the senses and lastly the passion between lovers shares all the intimacy of the most passionate of relationships found so often in such works yet is always handle with class never leaving you with the distate the more crude of words usually used to shock or titalate the reader.this author is bent and driven to show the give and take the dance almost from untrusted each other all the way to deep commited relationships and or misplaced loyalties in thoes around the characters as they become jaded and or quite the oppisite when such faith is placed in a partner is portrayed so vividly you cry or find your breath quickly become as loud in your ears as if you were living the moments of passion as it turns to deep love that can only be found as their heart beats right along with your very own beats in your chest...as the saying goes so well when poetry refers to two hearts that best as one. Such a good read please enjoy each and every book of hers you possibly can so your world is expanded to fall in love with right along with every other reader and chapters whitin the books right along with you. So very sorry for any typos I did not catch. Even with a migraine I have not been able to put her books down but for a moment to eat perhsps. Enjoy being spell bound more thoroughly than as if in the full thrall as the strongest bond within her books she writes of.

Kayla's job is to scavenge for artefacts, which she then sells to Traders for credits. She is also very talented in computers and coding. She doesn't have a high opinion of Traders, or the organisation in charge of it all, called OmniLab. After being recruited by a Trader, she discovers thing about her past that she'd forgotten, things that mean big changes for her. There are all sorts of characters in this, some you love, some you hate and some that are just irritating. The dynamic of the world they live in is very interesting, too. I really enjoyed reading this, and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
