About this ebook

Secrets have a way of coming to light…

She never allowed her heart to love another. He had never forgotten her. Will their secrets keep them apart? Or would their love overcome them?

Belle portrayed herself as two different women in London. To the lower class she was Rosie, a young widow who lost her husband too soon. A generous lady who befriended all, always helping those in need. To the peers of the realm, she was the notorious Madame Bellerose. Her establishment in Covent Garden was the most sought after to gain membership. Every gentleman attempted to bed the sultry Belle, but she favored no man with entry to her boudoir. She gave her soul away to one man years ago and there would be no other for her. Belle found contentment in the life she created to survive with her flourishing business and her new friendships. Until the man who stole her heart and abandoned her years ago returned. Phillip dominated her senses, making her crave what they once had. Can Belle forgive Phillip for abandoning her and risk her heart to loving him again?

Lord Phillip Delamont had only one purpose for his return to London. And that was to find the woman he loved. To his surprise, his young son befriended the lady he desired. However, at every turn her friends would thwart his attempts to seek her attentions. His frustrations would only leave him wanting her more. A chance invitation for a game of cards leads Phillip into discovering Belle’s true identity. Once he realized the woman Belle had become his need to make her his again became his primary goal. Can Phillip convince Belle that they are meant to be together forever?

Secrets. As Phillip pursues Belle, they keep their secrets hidden from one another. Secrets that could help to heal their hearts. Will they let their past continue to haunt them? Or will they confess their true love?

His second chance. Good old Phillip left Belle hanging and went and did what his father wanted. Now years later Belle is in his sights again but she is different. Belle’s life was so different now than what it had been but now Phillip was in it again but in her heart, she knew that they would never be together. I will admit I did not like Sheffield’s idea about Henry but in the end, things did turn out well. I enjoyed the book it was full of emotions, showed what true friends are, and what forgiveness and understanding can do in one’s life. I am happy to recommend this book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Sometimes there is a lot of heartache to finally achieve happiness and such was the case with Phillip and Belle. Years ago they had loved each other, or at least that is what she had thought. Until he abruptly left her to marry another. It had almost destroyed her. Now she was successful, running her business at night being Belle, and in the day, she was ordinary Rosie. But through it all her love for Philip had truly never died. But now he was back in London, his wife has passed and he has brought his young son with him. Is there any hope for a reunion? An emotional story filled sadness, secrets, a true love and a second chance if only they will take it. A wonderful ending to this series as only Laura Barnes can write with her amazing characters and storyline. Do not miss this one!

About the author

International selling author Laura A. Barnes fell in love with writing in the second grade. After her first creative writing assignment, she knew what she wanted to become. Many years went by with Laura filling her head full of story ideas and some funny fish songs she wrote while fishing with her family. Thirty-seven years later, she made her dreams a reality. With her debut novel Rescued By the Captain, she has set out on the path she always dreamed about.

When not writing, Laura can be found devouring her favorite romance books. Laura is married to her own Prince Charming (who for some reason or another thinks the heroes in her books are about him) and they have three wonderful children and two sweet grandbabies. Besides her love of reading and writing, Laura loves to travel. With her passport stamped in England, Scotland, and Ireland; she hopes to add more countries to her list soon.

While Laura isn’t very good on the social media front, she loves to hear from her readers. You can find her on the following platforms:
