About this ebook

Sometimes we’re lucky enough to get that second chance – in life and in love.  That Second Chance Series are stand-alone stories of strong women who battle heartache and loss with a courage and determination to find new paths and true love.  What ties them together? A common theme: belief in the beauty of that second chance. The Butterfly Garden is Book Six of That Second Chance Series.
Sometimes love happens when you least expect it…
Jenny Romano has never been a white-picket-fence, happily-ever-after girl. Despite a mother who rejected her free-spirited, unique ways as irresponsible and just plain wrong, Jenny has found happiness as a photographer, flitting around the country and snapping photos of other people’s lives. Her older sister, Grace, has a husband, children, and a carpool schedule. She’s the one their mother calls “perfect.”
But when tragedy strikes her sister’s carefully constructed life, Jenny must step in and help. Soon, she’s knee-deep in small-town, suburban life, the kind she’s always avoided…
Psychologist Elliot Drake spends so much time healing other people’s pain that he prefers to keep his own relationships short and uncomplicated. He’s loved and lost once and with a young daughter to raise, he’s not willing to risk his heart again. Of course, he’s never met anyone quite like Jenny. Outrageous and unpredictable, she’s nothing like her well-controlled older sister. And the more he’s around Jenny, the more he wonders if short-term is really what he wants…
Elliot and Jenny are about to discover that real life happens whether you want it to or not. Will they let real love happen, too?

problems with the font! nobody else seems to have this problem, but every 4-5 pages I have to reduce the font because there is only one letter on each page. After a few changes, I need to enlarge it because I don't have good enough eyes. It's annoying. Sad, because the story is good so far... So I deleted it, to re-download it and hope it is better... I need to repay... grrrr!

Thought-provoking story of a vibrant woman who, although not expecting it, finds her forever home by being helpful in times of need, teaches us an undeniable truth: accept one's own originality!

Very perceptive. We become like butterflies that die when they lose the color on their wings when we stop being who we are. Stop losing your colors.

About the author

Mary Campisi writes emotion-packed books about second chances. Whether contemporary romances, women's fiction, or Regency historicals, her books all center on belief in the beauty of that second chance.
Mary should have known she'd become a writer when at age thirteen she began changing the ending to all the books she read. It took several years and a number of jobs, including registered nurse, receptionist in a swanky hair salon, accounts payable clerk, and practice manager in an OB/GYN office, for her to rediscover writing. Enter a mouse-less computer, a floppy disk, and a dream large enough to fill a zip drive. The rest of the story lives on in every book she writes.
When she's not working on her craft or following the lives of five young adult children, Mary's digging in the dirt with her flowers and herbs, cooking, reading, walking her rescue lab mix, Cooper, or, on the perfect day, riding off into the sunset with her very own hero/husband on his Ultra Limited aka Harley.
