Just finished Murder in Mind, It was as terrific as all the others in the Sloane series. Although the best in my opinion is Gone Daddy Gone, this one is great and it wraps up all the missing pieces and questions you have when you start the series in the middle instead of the beginning. I love Gio and now I get their relationship. And I finally found out what happened to her sister. This book fills in the missing pieces so that the rest of the stories can be re-read for double the enjoyment. I like Cheryl Bradshaw more with each story i read and this is one of the best. It can't be put down...

I am absolutely in love with the whole Sloane Monroe series! Each book is both great as a stand alone and read in sequence. The story lines are intricate and hold the reader captive the whole time. Just when you think you might have it sorted out, Bradshaw throws in another dimension. I've also become emotionally attached to each character and will miss the life of Sloane Monroe when the series ends. Such a great series of books, and all are must-reads.

Just finished Black Diamond Death and really enjoyed it. Murder in Mind started out the same, but some things jarred me. Ms. Bradshaw's use of beguiled seems out of place in a modern mystery. Another is 'He sat down next to me and remitted a cup of tea.' Who says that? I understand that Sloane is driven to find her sister's killer in this book, but she does some really unprofessional things and she acts like a spoiled brat. I didn't particularly like the ending. I'd like to know how Sinnerman's death was explained to the local police. I'll give the author 3 stars for the first half. After that, it was touch and go to finish.
