In the meantime, on the other side of the galaxy, Ailana is stuck next to her hated cousin, Embo in their grandmother’s sewing shop, forever listening to the old woman wax on about her glory days as a Royal Seamstress.Â
No matter how she tries, Ailana can’t break free of Grandmother and her needling, even after the old woman is dead. However, it will be through her needle and thread, that Ailana gains admittance into the privileged world of the nobility, where fate will introduce her to a man that bears a striking resemblance to the face on Lance’s coin.Â

Loved it rivitting,twist and turn many unexpected cliff hangers. I usually hate character chpters as the don't flow smoothly this book however would not been as good a read if writtrn otherwise. looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Good read, well written. I'm not much of a fantasy fan but I did enjoy the SF part of it.

I really liked it once I got used to all the different perspectives. Lots of central characters, all done in a first person narrative. I will definitely keep reading this series.
