About this ebook

Working cowgirl, Payton Hollis, has no time for hairdryers, heels and helplessness. She must save her home, Beargrass Hills Ranch. She also has no time for men. She already is boot-deep in blue-eyed cowboy trouble.

City-boy, Cordell Morgan, isn’t who he seems. His fancy suit and slow smile hide dark secrets. Secrets as to why his hands are callused, why he never stays around and why he has really come to Marietta, Montana.

Between a shrewd old rancher, a cantankerous rodeo horse and a stud bull called Trouble, Payton and Cordell have no chance to lead separate lives. No matter how much their futures may depend upon them doing so.

Can a sassy cowgirl lower her guard for a man who will soon be gone? And can a man who believes emotions are nothing but a liability take the ultimate risk?

After Payton's parent die is running the family ranch on her own. Even though some years are really hard she won't accept help from anyone. This year is particularly hard because of a drought and there is a problem with her pump so she has to hand carry water for the horses. She doesn't know that her elderly neighbour, Henry, has been helping her. When Cordell comes to lease grazing land from Henry he stays with Payton since her ranch used to be a B & B so she has lots of room. Sparks soon fly between this couple making life difficult for both of them. Payton is a determined woman and very capable. It was too bad she took offence when anyone tried to help with anything, imagining they thought she couldn't do it herself. Cordell came from the city and looked the part of a businessman but clearly had ranching roots. He's a big, handsome man used to hard work. I liked that he just did things around the ranch without making a big deal about it. Cordell did have a secret reason for being there but we don't know what it is. It kept being mentioned throughout the story and got annoying. I liked this well written story about a strong woman running her ranch and the problems that she had to deal with. The description of the rural area and rodeo was so clear I could easily picture them. It's nice to see this was well researched making all the scenes quite believable.

"Cherish Me, Cowboy" by Alissa Callen is book one in the "Wildflower Ranch" series. This is working cowgirl, Payton Hollis and Cordell Morgan's story. Payton is a no frills kind of girl. She is determined to save her home, Beargrass Hills ranch. Payton has no time for men. Cordell shows up in Marietta and he appears to be a city boy but looks can be deceiving. He is also dealing with issues from his childhood. Payton and Cordell due to circumstances and a crusty old man they end up spending lots of time together. They are extremely attracted to each other. The intimate scenes are closed door with great tender and passionate moments. This is a sweet romance with lots of surprises. I really enjoyed Payton and Cordell's character. I loved Henry.

I had thought the family connection ould have been Rhett's but Henry was a surpise. Trouble was just as his name indicated glad he was taken somewhere else. God read
