Entertaining, great history ,romantic
Fantastic read
I found the weave between real life and fiction made the story more amazing. Connected with the characters and absolutely enjoyed reading the book. Couldn’t put it down. Lovely lovely read!

Slow start, but an overall decent read as the political intrigue picks up in the second half. Research is evident in the writing and only has a few typos. However, for some reason the page count resets at chapter 8, events are frequently overexplained, the first half of the book is essentially one long escort mission readers have to get through before Sybil, who is repeatedly damseled throughout the story, does anything interesting, and the author overworks the whole marriage contract ordeal in an attempt at suspense that simply resulted in repetitive reading. It also felt like Sybil’s rape exists more for cheap drama than actually highlighting marital rape as an issue.
