In this thought-provoking treatise on the quieter types, Dembling, the blogger behind Psychology Today's "The Introvert's Corner," proposes a wholesale rethinking of what it means to be an introvert. Readily acknowledging that introverts "can come across as bitchy or dickish sometimes," Dembling (The Yankee Chick's Survival Guide to Texas) argues that the stigma surrounding introversion might be assuaged if introverts and extroverts began "understanding and accepting" the characteristics of the former as assets rather than deficiencies. Not quite my style
Dembling’s writing style does not mesh with my preferences, so I found this a bit tedious though at times helpful and interesting.
A more serious complaint is that the index is not hyperlinked. What good is an index in an eBook if it isn’t hyperlinked, especially since this undoubtedly means that the pages also do not match anything but the paper edition? But this screwup is the publisher’s fault, not Dembling’s.

This book spoke to me so much. Reading it was like talking to an old friend who has known me all my life. Excellent writing. So insightful. Triggered my interest in reading more about introverts.
